January, 2015

The regular business meeting of the Haddonfield 65 Club was held January 8, 2015. President Bill Brown called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM. There were 26 members present.
The meeting began with a presentation by David Hunter on his new endeavor called HaddonfieldSOUP. This is a twist on websites in that all members of the website, whether individuals, businesses, community organizations or the Borough can post information of their choosing on the site. Business and organization members pay $25/ month while individuals ay $25/ year. It’s an interesting concept that only time will tell if successful.
Following the presentation, Chaplain Lou Dunkle gave the convocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of god Bless America.  The Secretary read the minutes from the last Business Meeting held on November 13, 2014. The minutes were approved as read. The Secretary also read the minutes from the last Board of Directors meeting, held on January 8, 2015.
Walt Baker gave the treasurer’s report and posted a copy on the bulletin board. Walt reported that only 48% have paid their dues so far.
President Brown, as a last desperate act as president, managed to sell the t-shirt that was a sample.
Bill noted that Don Beck performs many tasks for the club and recognized his contribution to the club. Don handles all the get well cards, sympathy cards, Christmas cards, memorial donations as well as the mailing of the monthly newsletter.
President Brown swore in the new board of director members which included:
·          Al Schmidt replacing Henry Leimkuhler as director for 2 years
·          Bob Parsons replacing Bill Hitchens as director for 1 year
·          Joe Ade, Bud Pusatere and Warren Reintzel as directors for 3 years
Following the directors 1st VP Neil Wise and 2nd VP Henry Leimkuhler were sworn in. This was followed by swearing in Treasurer Walt Baker, Secretary Bernie Schaming and our new President, Dennis Kille. Bill then presented the new president with a commemorative engraved gavel.
Dennis Kille took over the meeting and his first official act as president was to call for a motion to adjourn.

Having no further business the meeting adjourned at 2:50pm.
Respectfully Submitted,

Bernie Schaming, Secretary
