April, 2023

 The regular business meeting was held in the 65 Club clubhouse on Thursday April 13, 2023.

President David Tarditi called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM. There were nineteen (19) members

attending in person and one member on Zoom.

Dave led The Pledge of Allegiance and provided a prayer.

Minutes – Hank Zaleski (aka Fred Willis)

 The minutes of the last Business Meeting, held on March 9, 2023, were read. They were

approved without changes.

 The minutes of the last Board of Directors Meeting, held on April 6, 2023, were read.

President’s Report –/David Tarditi

 Dave thanked the membership for the great turnout for the Meet & Greet. Despite the weather,

the event was well-attended and led to 10 new members joining the Club.

Speakers – Joe Galliera - 1st VP

 Stephanie B(?) from the Board of Education will be next week’s speaker. Frank Troy is on for the

following week. Speakers are scheduled out through mid-June. Joe did say he could use some

more speakers. A couple of suggestions were made during that discussion.

Membership – Chuck Kanupke – 2 nd VP

 Chuck thanked everyone for their great support for the Meet and Greet. Ten (10) new members

joined as a result.

 Chuck would like to run another in the Fall with a focus on some activities outside the

clubhouse. Potentially a BBQ and/or Corn Hall Game.

 Several ideas were suggested to build off the momentum of the M&G to continue to attract new

members.

Treasurer’s Report – Hank Zaleski

 Hank informed the members that over $500 in receipts were taken and over $1000 in expenses in

March. A new line item for New Members Activities has been added to track those costs.

 Six (6) members have not paid their 2023 dues. Bernie reported that he needs to know who will be

dropped from the Club before next Wednesday so the Directory can be updated/printed in time for

distribution at the Spring Luncheon


Event Committee Reports

 Bowling, golf, pinochle and bridge continue.

 Bernie will be giving Bridge lessons starting on April 17 th . At least 4 people have signed up.

 John Biondi reported that Tai-chi will be stopped due to lack of interest

Trips/Events - Bill Brown

 Bill reported that the Spring Lake trip went well. He was a little disappointed in the accounting.

The Club had to subsidize the trip to the amount of 60 cents.

 A number of 65 club members joined the Lion’s club Mystery trip.

 Bill is planning a trip tour the Phillies stadium with lunch at Kunkels on August 1.

Old Business

 Bill Hoffman thanked Bill Brown for how quickly the handi-cap ramp was completed.


New Business

 Roger Jacob mentioned that they are looking for volunteers for the day of the Skirmish

 He also reported that there is a 7-part lecture series starting soon on the history of the Skirmish.

An email was distributed this week with the details

Joke Master

Neil Wise returned from Florida and promptly stepped forward as the joke master. He told a joke about a reincarnated rabbit on a golf course. The members must have enjoyed it as Neil stayed for ice cream and  was not asked to go back to Florida.

President David Tarditi adjourned the meeting at 2:30 PM.
