March, 2018


The regular business meeting of the Haddonfield 65 Club was held March 8, 2018. President Schmidt called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM. There were 21 members present.
The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of God Bless America.
The secretary read the minutes from the last Business Meeting held on February 8, 2018. The minutes were approved as read. He also read the minutes from the March board of director’s meeting held on March 1.
David Tarditi gave the treasurer’s report and posted it on the bulletin board. David reported that we are done t0 13 who have not paid dues for 2018.
President Schmidt appraised the members on upcoming events including the HMHS student walk as part of a national event (Mar 14), Bernie’s grandson playing lead in Aida at Lenape HS (Mar 10 & 11 at 7pm), FMSC (Apr 20-22), Mable Kay lunch on St. Patrick’s Day at 11:30 and a Haddon Twp. shuttle available on St. Patrick’s Day to move residents between watering holes in the township. He also mentioned a number of other local and Camden County events.
Jay Cokos reminded members of the speakers for the upcoming two weeks.
Saul Resnick reported that his article on Jim Dunn was in the Sun this week. He noted that the Sun has cut his future articles to a maximum of 600 words. Saul indicated that he has made additional contact for club membership as well as for weekly speakers. He also reported that he has made 20 copies of the Sun article on the club which can be used as handouts to prospective members.
Bill Brown indicated that he now has 44 people signed up and paid for the 9-11 Memorial trip and that we can take a maximum of 6 more.
New member Joe Hillegas introduced himself to the club and provided information on his background.
The meeting was adjourned to refreshments at 2:05 PM.
