The
regular business meeting of the Haddonfield 65 Club was held June 9, 2016. President
Wise called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM. There were 17 members present.
The meeting began
with the Pledge to the flag, followed by the singing of God Bless America. Chaplain
Lou Dunkle provided the invocation.
The
secretary read the minutes from the last Business Meeting held on April 14,
2016 since there was no business meeting in May. The minutes were approved as read.
He also read the minutes from the Board of Directors meetings held on June 2, 2016.
Walt
Baker gave the treasurer’s report and posted it on the bulletin board.
Mike
Underwood reported that 34 golfers were out on June 8th. The first
group at 7:30 tee time finished 18 holes, the next group got 13 holes in and
the last group got 9 holes in before the deluge.
Bill
Brown requested members to get their money in for the June 28th trip
to the Linc, lunch at Chickie & Pete’s, and a tour of the Simeone car
museum. We will leave via school bus from the high school at 10am.
Mike
Underwood asked members to again consider marching in the 4th of
July parade. This year’s theme is very simple – VOTE. The signs are being made
and final assembly of material will take place after the regular meeting on
June 23rd.
The meeting
was adjourned to refreshments at 2:10 PM.
Respectfully submitted,
Bernie Schaming,
Secretary
