The
regular business meeting of the Haddonfield 65 Club was held February 9, 2017. 1st
Vice President Al Schmidt called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM. There were 14
members present.
The meeting began with the Pledge to the flag, followed by the
singing of God Bless America.
The
secretary read the minutes from the last Business Meeting held on January
12,2017. The minutes were approved as read.
Walt
Baker gave the treasurer’s report and posted it on the bulletin board. Walt reported
that 25 members still have not paid their 2017 dues.
Al
reported that the Feed My Starving Children food packing event will be held on
March 24 &25. Bernie Schaming will again register the club online for the
event. More information will be available when we receive the official notice.
Al also reported that he has booked a Mark Twain impersonator for May 4th.
Bill
Brown reported although the trip to the Masonic Temple in Philadelphia is
overbooked he was able to confi9rm that a single bus will be sufficient and
that the Temple will increase their group size to accommodate the larger group.
Bill indicated that additional information and publicity for the 6-hr fishing
trip on June 6th will be coming soon. Bill also reported that 11 peop0le were
present for the latest Wednesday night movie.
John
Cokos provided an update on his Paleo diet that he is trying out. He indicated
that after 6 weeks the biggest change he has noticed is a significant increase
in energy. The diet is primarily a low carb regimen.
The meeting
was adjourned to refreshments at 2:15 PM.
