The
regular business meeting of the Haddonfield 65 Club was held January 11, 2017. President
Leimkuhler called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM. There were 31 members
present.
The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of
God Bless America.
The
secretary read the minutes from the last Business Meeting held on January11, 2018.
The minutes were approved as read. He also read the minutes from the January
board of director’s meeting held January 11.
David
Tarditi gave the treasurer’s report and posted it on the bulletin board.
President Schmidt appraised the members on upcoming
events including bingo at the Boathouse (Feb 20), Haddonfield Uncorked (Feb 24,
Wheelchair dancing on Feb 18, and George Washington’s Chef “Hercules” at the
Indian King Tavern on Feb 17.
Jay
Cokos reported that he has speakers lined up through May except May 17th.
Saul
Resnick reported that his marketing article on the club was in this week’s Sun
and will have an article on another member coming soon in the newsletter.
Bill
Brown provided an update on trips. He has received suggestions for multiple
trips including the 9-11 Memorial and the Middletown Train ride and boat
cruise. Both trips will be in the $85 range.
The meeting
was adjourned to refreshments at 2:00 PM.
Following the
meeting, lunch was provided by Len Walden prior to departing for the Eclipse
Brewery in Merchantville.
