The regular business meeting was held on Thursday June 10, 2021. The 65 Club clubhouse was open but the meeting was conducted remotely using the Zoom program due to air conditioning problems. President Frank Lodge called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM. There were eleven (11) members attending.

Tarditi led The Pledge of Allegiance and then the invocation.
Minutes – Fred Willis

The
minutes of the last Business Meeting, held on April 8, 2021 and conducted on
Zoom, were read. They were approved without
changes.
·
The
minutes of the last Board of Directors Meeting, held on June 3, 2021 and
conducted on Zoom, were read.
President’s Report – Frank Lodge
· Frank announced Event Committee
Reports would be presented at the Business meeting. They will be discontinued
or made extremely short at the weekly club meeting.
· A member asked if wives would be invited
to the scheduled reopening cookout. There was some discussion about logistics
of inviting the wives. It was decided
and approved the cookout would be only for members.
· Henry Saleski was sworn in as club
treasurer by Frank. He will replace Dave
Tarditi and begin his term on July 1.
· Frank informed the members that sign
preparation for the Fourth of July parade required. This will occur after the normal club meeting
on July 1. It is expected to take about
a half an hour.
· The reopening cookout will occur on
June 24.
· VFW Dinner – See New Business.
Treasurer’s Report – Dave Tarditi
·
Several
large expenditures occurred last month which included the HMHS Scholarship
payment ($1000), Storm door replacement ($500) and Federal Filing Non-Profit
exemption fee ($600). Income from the Spring Luncheon ($84) and the Green jar
($255) contribution partially offset the expenditures.

The
treasurer’s report was approved.
Event Committee Reports

13 – a car pool trip to the Simeone Auto Museum is being planned.

Bowling
continues on Friday and will continue through the summer. Attendance is usually five members.

New Business
· Bill contacted the Borough about
the clubhouse air conditioning problem. The Borough Public Works will check the
unit.
·
Bill
is still looking for a 55 Chevy to `march’ in the Fourth of July parade.
·
Dave
described the VFW Post 38 Last Man Standing dinner on July 29. This dinner honors veterans from various
wars.
·
Roger
informed members 65 Club brochures were available if anyone needed them or knew
of a place they could be displayed.
· Roger informed members an addendum
to the recently issued 2021 Club Directory was required because four guest
members names had been omitted.
·
June
17 – a work party is required to clean of plant growth behind the club house.
This will be held after the normal meeting and members should bring their own
tools.
Joke
Master
·
No
one volunteered.
·
Frank
asked two questions and selected the members to answer them. Since the questions and answers would not light a
candle and Frank threatened to repeat the process until a Joke Master emerged,
we can expect a long line of Joke Master’s at all future meetings.
·
Roger
suddenly remembered a joke and presented it masterfully. Whether the joke was
of the same caliber as its presentation is a different question.
