The regular business meeting was held in the 65 Club clubhouse on Thursday April 14, 2022.
President
Roger Jacobs called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM. There were approximately twenty (20) members
attending with several on Zoom.
Dave
Tarditi led The Pledge of Allegiance, singing of God Bless America and provided
a prayer.
Minutes – Fred Willis

The
minutes of the last Business Meeting, held on March 10, 2021, were read. They were approved without changes.
·
The
minutes of the last Board of Directors Meeting, held on April 7, 2022, were
read.
President’s Report – Roger Jacobs
·
Tax
Day is tomorrow or Monday depending upon whether it is New Jersey or the Federal
government.
·
The
Friends of the Indian King Tavern Skirmish will be held on King’s Highway on
Saturday June 4 from 9.00 am to 3.30 pm.
·
Ten
to twelve Constables are required for assisting the crowds at the
skirmish. Two 65 Club members have signed
up and it is hoped an additional ten members will join them.
·
Roger
discussed some of the extensive activities that will be held at the
skirmish. They are extensive
- Roger informed the members
that Camden County College is sponsoring six lectures on various aspects
of American Revolution history which occurred in or around
Haddonfield. The lectures are held
Wednesday evening at the Masonic Temple or Borough Hall. The next lecture
will be held April 27 at 7.00 pm at the Masonic Temple. Schedule will be
emailed to Membership.
- A Wine and Cheese fund raiser
for the Association for Constitutional Awareness, an organization which
provides a $150 scholarship to high school students who provide evidence
they have read the US Constitution and Bill of Rights. The fund raiser
will be held on the grounds at Greenfield Hall of the Haddonfield
Historical Society on April 30 from 3:30 to 5:30. Details will be emailed
to Membership.

On April 23there will be guided tours of the
sculptures in Haddonfield by John Giannotti, the sculptor of “Haddie.”
·
On
Earth Day, May 4th, free reusable shopping bags will be given away at Kings
Court/Gazebo. Noon to 5pm.by the Partnership for Haddonfield and the
Environmental Commission.

have been no significant financial changes in the past month.

should keep looking for new candidates.

Bernie
Schaming reported he contacted the five members who had not paid their 2022 dues. Unfortunately, all have lost interest in the
club and will be removed from the club list and directory. All are Haddonfield residents
which will make it more difficult to elevate guest members to full members.

All
club brochures at Borough Hall have been taken and an additional supply is
required.

Trips/Events - Bill Brown

Bill
is still waiting to hear from SCUCS about a trip to see the Phillies.
·
The
spring luncheon has only sixty (60) attendees and one hundred (100) are
required for a financial break even.
·
The
Salvation Army is holding a lunch for volunteers who assisted with manning a Red
Kettle last December. There are two seats
available at the Croc Center in Camden on April 23.t

he left his story back in Florida.
