The regular business meeting was held in the 65 Club clubhouse on Thursday February 9, 2023.
President
David Tarditi called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM. There were twenty-three (23) members attending
with an untold number on Zoom.
Dave
Tarditi led The Pledge of Allegiance, led singing `My County Tis of Thee, and provided
a prayer.
Minutes

The
minutes of the last Business Meeting, held on January 12. 2023, were read. They were approved without changes.

The
minutes of the last Board of Directors Meeting, held on February 1, 2023, were
read.
President’s
Report –/David Tarditi
Mascot
· The 65 Club new mascot, Tyrone the
service dog, attended today’s meeting. He was brought by Chuck Kanupke. Ty’s
major purpose is to attend events and attract nonmembers to begin a discussion
with members about the club. Attracting new members is a continual concern and
activity of the club. To attract more interest in the club, the club is trying
to inform town residents more about the club.
Urban
Promise
·
Dave
is setting up a committee to study ways the club can assist Urban Promise.
Several suggestions were made; however, some require training and a serious
commitment. The club must not rush into this activity is the general consensus.
Treasurer’s
Report – Hank Zaleski
· Hank informed the members the income
for January was about $800. Approximately ten (10) additional members paid
their 2023 dues and about thirty (30) are still unpaid.
Speakers

Speakers
are booked until the end of May
·
Next week the subject
will be on the history of the Monitor and Merrimack battle in the Civil
war. The following week will be a
college baseball umpire.

introduced new member Jack Cotter.

Several
Meet and Greet events are being planned for the spring.

Chuck
and other board members will meet with David Hunter of the Haddonfield Sun to
discuss some methods to improve knowledge of the club throughout the borough.

A
trip to Spring Lake for a show on Broadway Shows is scheduled for April 4. Transportation will be by carpool. Sign up is now occurring.

Bill
talked to several bus companies about cost for future trips. The cost per person to use a bus range from
$100 to $150 per person for a trip.
·
The
Haddonfield Lions will have a Mystery tour on April 11 which will use a school
bus. Depending upon demand, this may be open to 65 club members. Cost will be $50 per person. Check the website for possible sign up.

and Memorabilia – Presentations on Haddonfield Gas Station history are being
presented at the Mable Kay House on Tuesday mornings.

The
borough Fire Marshal inspected the clubhouse this week. Batteries must be replaced on some signs and
a Carbon Monoxide sensor must be installed. Bernie will handle these two actions.
Joke Master
Neal Wise
and Dave Tarditi engaged in a spirited battle to tell the best joke. Both lost.
