The regular business
meeting was held in the 65 Club clubhouse on Thursday, September 14, 2023. President David Tarditi called the meeting to
order at 1:30 PM EDT. 28 members attended in person, and an unknown number
attended virtually.
David
led the Pledge of Allegiance, the singing of God Bless America, and provided a
prayer. Then, asked those present to keep the health and well-being of recovering
members in their hearts, minds, and prayers.
David
asked members to stand and cheer Bernie Schaming for his leadership, management,
and execution of the 65 Clubs' participation in the Haddonfield Lions Club Flea
Market. Unanimous standing and cheering occurred. Bernie noted that the Club’s sales came to
$2,2098. Bernie was contributing $2.00 to make it $2,300.
Bernie
then suggested that 3 members meet to discuss the best methodology for
selecting the products for sale next year to suit the Flea Market customers,
noting that our donors are older and are “getting rid of” things they do not
need or want. The customers of the Flee Market are younger, with needs not met
by a significant portion of our items.
