The
regular business meeting of the Haddonfield 65 Club was held April 13, 2017. 1st
VP Al Schmidt called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM. There were 22 members
present.
The meeting began with the Pledge to the flag, followed by the
singing of God Bless America and a message from our Chaplain Lou Dunkle.
The
secretary read the minutes from the last Business Meeting held on March 9,2017.
The minutes were approved as read.
In
Walt Baker’s absence, Dave Tarditi gave the treasurer’s report and posted it on
the bulletin board.
Members
welcomed John Biondi and Bill Smith to the Club. Bot new members gave us a
brief synopsis of their background.
Lou
Dunkle reported that Don Wallace is out of rehab and now home.
There
were brief reports on bridge, pinochle, and bowling.
Bill
Brown reported on the upcoming trips including the June 6th fishing
trip, and the June 20th Phillies game. Bill also read the list of
mo0vies that he has scheduled for the coming weeks.
Saul
Resnick reported that am article on Neil Wise will appear in the next
newsletter as well as in an upcoming Haddonfield Sun edition.
The meeting
was adjourned to refreshments at 2:15 PM.
Following
the meeting, many members remained to take part in the cleanup outside. Three
new bushes were planted, two azaleas removed, two more trans-planted, the front
grass was thatched and over-seeded and watered, and 10 bags of mulch were put
down. Neal Tully presented a signup list for watering the front grass. Thanks
to Neal for organizing this effort and to all those who helped with the
cleanup.
