The
regular business meeting of the Haddonfield 65 Club was held June 8, 2017. President
Leimkuhler called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM. There were 19 members
present.
The meeting began with the Pledge to the flag, followed by the
singing of God Bless America and a message from our Chaplain Lou Dunkle.
The
secretary read the minutes from the last Business Meeting held on April 13, 2017
since there was no business meeting in May. The minutes were approved as read.
In
Walt Baker gave the treasurer’s report and posted it on the bulletin board. Walt
was thanked and applauded for his long service as Treasurer and for agreeing to
stay on as assistant treasurer.
Members
welcomed Bob Smolski to the Club as a guest member. Bob gave us a brief
synopsis of his background.
President
Leimkuhler reported that fellow member William Taylor had passed away.
Henry
clarified that he intended to paint the window sills outside that are bare.
Neil Wise volunteered to help with the effort. Henry also trimmed some of the
bushes to make it easier for the gas company to install the new meter.
Bill
Brown reported that the June 6th fishing trip was a success even
though the weather was rough. In addition, he passed out tickets and assigned
seats for the June 20th Phillies game. In addition he announced the
casino trip on August 29th and will have a signup sheet in the near
future.
Al
Schmidt announced the speaker for the upcoming weeks.
The meeting
was adjourned to refreshments at 2:05 PM.
