The
regular business meeting of the Haddonfield 65 Club was held June 8, 2017. President
Leimkuhler called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM. There were 15 members
present.
The meeting began with the Pledge to the flag, followed by the
singing of God Bless America and a message from our Chaplain Lou Dunkle.
The
secretary read the minutes from the last Business Meeting held on June 8, 2017.
The minutes were approved with a correction to the cost of the casino trip in
August.
In
David Tarditi’s absence, Walt Baker gave the treasurer’s report and posted it
on the bulletin board. Walt reported that a new gas meter was installed.
Henry
announced a variety of upcoming local activities.
Bill
Brown raffled off the complementary tickets he received from the Phillies for
organized the group trip to the ball game in June. The tickets went for $101.
Bill reminded members of the casino trip on August 29th and posted a
signup sheet in the club. The cost of the trip is $44. Bill also announced there will be a casino
trip in November when Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers will be performing.
Bernie
Schaming reminded members that the flea market will be September 16th
with a rain date of Sep 23rd. Bernie will prepare an article that
Bill Brown will get into the local papers requesting donations.
The meeting
was adjourned to refreshments at 2:00 PM.
